An academic coach is an undergraduate student who provides face to face individualized support to students seeking academic skill development. If you are interested in the academic coaching program, please share your interest with the OASSA program coordinator.
Job Description
An academic coach is an undergraduate student who provides face to face individualized support to students seeking academic skill development. Academic coaches will assess the student’s strengths and needs, and devise a personalized plan of action. Academic coaches will assist in the retention at St. Norbert College through interventions coordinated with the office of academic success, support and accessibility.
For consideration, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Enrollment as a St. Norbert College undergraduate student
- Have a cumulative GPA 3.0 or above.
- Self-motivation and direction to work independently with limited supervision
- Empathy for and understanding of diverse groups of students
- Ability to speak and present information in front of small group
