Summer Orientation

Every summer, new students are invited to join us to kick off their college experience at SNC. We offer registration/advising and summer orientation sessions.

Advising and Orientation Overview
Registration/advising (virtual): Meet with an advisor and discuss your interests and goals starting in May through July. SNC advisors will share course options with you and help you register for classes, all from home.

Summer orientation (in person): Join us on campus for a daylong experience in June that will give you information about campus resources, tours of residence halls and the opportunity to meet several of your new classmates. Summer orientation dates for 2025 include June 12, 13, 16 and 17. Registration will open February 1.

There will be sessions for both students and family members. We encourage you to bring a family member as there is one set of sessions for students and another for family members. Student and family sessions follow different schedules. You'll receive printed copies when you arrive for orientation.

Academic Advising

Information about academic advising and registering can be found on the academic advising website.

Orientation Program

You are encouraged to bring one family member with you to summer orientation. Orientation sessions focus on tips for college parents, payment plans, housing contracts and meal plans. Your guest can tour the residence halls, too.

There are multiple opportunities to attend orientation in June. Each session has a limited enrollment, and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will open on Feb. 1 for students who have paid their deposit to the College. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible to have the best chance of getting your top choice.
