Who is eligible to use the Health & Wellness Center?
All full and part-time undergraduate students enrolled at St Norbert College are eligible to use our services. MCW students are also eligible to use the Health & Wellness Center.
What are the current options for the meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine?
- The MenB vaccine helps protect against the “B strain” of meningitis which has commonly caused outbreaks in college communities in recent years. MenB can be given to people age 16-23 years. Men B vaccine can also be given to children over 10 with certain high-risk conditions. Trade names for this vaccine are either Bexero (2 dose series) OR Trumenba (2 dose series).
- The MenACWY vaccine is highly effective at protecting against 4 strains of meningitis “A, C, W and Y”. Trade names for this vaccine are either Menactra (2 dose series) OR Menveo (2 dose series).
What type of services do you provide?
The Health & Wellness Center is an integrated holistic system of healthcare that provides care related to physical, emotional and psychological concerns. For a listing of health and counseling services visit the Prevea Health online portal.
Do I need an appointment?
We encourage appointments in order to serve you most efficiently. Same-day medical appointments are most often available at the Health & Wellness Center. Counseling appointments can generally be made within 3-5 business days. The Health & Wellness Center makes every effort to schedule urgent or crisis appointments as soon as possible.

Is there a cost involved for the services?
$0 per preventive care visit
$0 per primary care visit
$0 per behavioral care visit
$0 per lab visit regardless of amount of labs (some exclusions may apply)
If radiology or pathology services are required, those will be billed directly to your medical plan.

I have a chronic health condition that requires ongoing medical care. Can I see a provider to continue my care?
We recommend students with ongoing health conditions to make an appointment with the Health & Wellness Center to establish a plan of care while you are at college. We will work closely with your health care provider at home to ensure continuity in your care and to ensure the greatest potential for your academic success.
How do I withdraw from the college because of a medical condition?

If I take a prescription medicine, can I get refills at the Health & Wellness Center?
We have a small formulary of prescription medications on hand, however, these are reserved for the providers we have on campus. It would be beneficial to have your prescriptions filled prior to coming to college or transfer prescriptions to a local pharmacy. If you are taking a controlled medication you should have the prescription mailed to you directly and take it to one of the pharmacies listed.
