Policy
As part of our family-friendly policies and benefits, St. Norbert College supports breastfeeding parents by accommodating their needs during the workday. This includes providing reasonable break times for their nursing needs, as well as optional convenient spaces for lactation. Break times may be taken as frequently as needed by the nursing parent, recognizing that the frequency and duration of the breaks will vary.
Prohibition Against Discrimination or Retaliation
St. Norbert College expressly prohibits discriminating or retaliating against nursing parents for exercising, or attempting to exercise, their rights to request lactation accommodation under this policy. If you have experienced discrimination or retaliation, please report it to Human Resources.
Procedures
Nursing parents should notify their supervisor of the need for lactation breaks. You may request use of one of the following private rooms, if needed.
