Employment Transitions: Ineligibility for Employment or Affiliation

Purpose: To define the circumstances in which an individual may be deemed ineligible for future employment or affiliation

Policy
St. Norbert is committed to creating an effective, safe and welcoming environment for all. Toward that end, the college has created parameters for excluding certain individuals from future employment or affiliation.
Those ineligible for future employment or affiliation include those who:
- Were involuntarily terminated for a college policy violation
- Resigned or retired in lieu of involuntary termination for a college policy violation
- Resigned or retired while the college was considering their involuntary termination
- Resigned or retired while the college was conducting an investigation into their alleged college policy violation
- The college determined had violated a college policy after separation
Procedures
Human Resources will determine if a member of the college faculty or staff, or a volunteer, is ineligible for future employment or affiliation, and will notify the individual.
Employees or volunteers who wish to appeal their ineligibility for employment or affiliation must send a written appeal to the assistant vice president for human resources.
