Policy
St. Norbert College supports the recognition of retiring staff members who have invested a significant portion of their career with the college. College funds may be used for reasonable food and beverage costs for retirement receptions, lunches and gifts, at the discretion and advance approval of the appropriate vice president.
Procedures
Departments must secure approval from the appropriate vice president before scheduling a departure or retirement celebration.
Gifts or awards to retirees or departing employees may be subject to taxation as determined by IRS regulations.
