Everyone struggles sometimes. We offer Academic Coaching, Academic Peer Mentoring and Academic Tutoring depending on your specific needs.
Some SNC students need a little added academic support to thrive as they start their journey. During the college admission process, we identify students who may need a little extra help to reach their full academic potential. If we believe you could benefit from one of these programs, you’ll be invited to participate as a condition of your enrollment.
The Success Program helps you reach your full academic potential for success through the use of contracts, goal setting, time management and self-accountability. You’ll attend weekly group meetings where you can work with a facilitator on improving your study skills and learn ways to best manage your time.
AEP is a one-semester program that enables you to learn and practice academic habits associated with success as a first-semester, first-year student. AEP students come with strong recommendations from high school teachers, counselors and principals who believe a student has the ability and desire to succeed in college but would benefit from added academic support to begin the college journey. See our program requirements to learn more.
In keeping with our SNC mission which calls us to help students reach their full potential, and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the college provides reasonable modifications and necessary accommodations to students with disabilities. Students become eligible for services when they disclose and provide recent documentation of a disability to the office of academic success, support and accessibility. Accommodations are tailored to a student's need on a case-by-case basis. Find more information here. You can also email acadsupport@snc.edu or call 920-403-1321 for more information.
Each of the counselors in SNC’s Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) office has received training in assisting students on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Counselors also provide campus-wide training and education for faculty, staff and students.
