Imagine investigating humankind’s successes and failures with expert guides to help you understand how past events are shaping our present and will shape our future. Our professors at St. Norbert College will help you search for explanations and motivations while earning your history degree through lenses ranging from literature to art, and anthropology to political science. Learn to think critically about the human experience by reading carefully, asking pertinent questions and considering issues of historical bias.
You’ll compare the economies, societies, political systems and cultures of different countries. You’ll also explore historical change and why some movements had staying power, while others fell into obscurity. This framework will open up new perspectives and suggest alternatives for the future, as well as help you understand the world and your place in it more clearly.
You can master critical thinking by minoring in history studies or earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in one of six concentrations:
Strengthen your cultural grasp of history by pursuing a major, minor or certificate in another language.
