Pre-professional programs

Prepare for a career in law, engineering or health care

Are you interested in a career that requires advanced education and certification, but also want the benefits associated with a small private liberal arts school? Perhaps it’s your dream to become a nurse, physician’s assistant, occupational therapist or pharmacist? St. Norbert College is here to support you in achieving your goals. Our pre-professional tracks are geared toward students who seek careers in engineering, health care, or law.

Pre-professional programs are not majors at SNC. Rather, they are structured as tracks, designed to ensure that you receive academic coursework to prepare you for future advanced education in your chosen area of study.

SNC’s pre-professional programs
What can you do with SNC’s pre-professional training?

At SNC, choose any of our pre-professional academic tracks to get ready for the advanced education you’ll need to pursue a career in engineering, health care or law. We’ll pair you with an advisor who will provide one-on-one guidance on degree options, necessary testing and coursework to increase your chances for admission into a graduate program. When it’s time to prepare for admission, your SNC advisor will provide feedback on ways to strengthen your application.

Our health care credentialing partnerships

At SNC, we have a number of partnerships that lead to professional health care degrees from other schools, in fields including occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, physician assistant and nursing. You’ll spend two to four years at SNC, taking advantage of our small class sizes and personalized attention from college professors. Then, you’ll transition to the remainder of your degree program at one of our partner schools. Choose SNC if you want to become a credentialed professional on an accelerated timeline.

Our partnership with Marquette Law

SNC has partnered with Marquette Law in a 3-plus-3 academic program that allows you to apply for admission to Marquette’s law school during your junior year. Here’s how it works:

  • You’ll apply for law school as a first-year student. Then you’ll spend your first three years of college at SNC. During your junior year you’ll apply for admission to the 3-plus-3 law program at Marquette.
  • After you’re admitted to the Marquette Law program, you’ll spend your fourth year of college at Marquette, simultaneously completing the remaining requirements for your bachelor's degree at SNC.
  • You’ll then spend two more years at Marquette, completing your juris doctor degree.

Our partnership with Marquette allows you to become a lawyer in just six years, saving you at least two or three years of time and money.
