St. Norbert College students can get on the fast track for a law degree by taking advantage of the 3-plus-3 academic partnership between St. Norbert and Marquette Law School. The academic program will allow St. Norbert undergraduate students to enroll at Marquette Law School after completing only three years of education (99 credits) at St. Norbert. Traditionally, earning a bachelor’s degree followed by a law degree would take a student seven years.
St. Norbert 3-plus-3 students will be able to apply to Marquette University during their junior year. Those who are admitted will move directly into Marquette's law program. Once they have successfully completed all requirements during their first year of law school at Marquette, they will be able to transfer 29 credits back to St. Norbert to achieve a baccalaureate degree at St. Norbert College.
Students will then have two additional years of law school at Marquette before receiving their juris doctor degree from Marquette Law School, all in six total years – saving students a full year of college tuition.
Admission to the 3-plus-3 law school partnership will be limited to those who have earned a cumulative high school grade-point average (GPA) of 3.75. Students must be admitted to the partnership program by the conclusion of their first year at St. Norbert.
