North STAR Program
What is North STAR?
North STAR is a scholarship program that offers $2000 per year ($1000 each semester) and operates as a peer-to-peer mentoring initiative aimed at fostering students’ success and persistence toward graduation. Mentors, who are rising Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors, will support first-year STAR students through various activities. These include weekly or bi-monthly check-ins, tracking meetings and notes, sharing initial lunch sessions for three weeks, setting alerts, attending events, supporting panels, and participating in Green Knight for A Day. Additionally, they will organize documentary screenings and collaborate on presentations to enhance inclusivity within the academic community.
