While no specific major is required for veterinary-school admission, students are expected to have a strong background in biology and chemistry, so many SNC students major in biology, chemistry or natural science.
Veterinary schools typically require applicants to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) as part of the admission process. The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges provides an admission-requirement directory of U.S., Canadian and international veterinary medical schools that details the admission-requirements and evaluation criteria for each school.
Our small class sizes and low student-to-faculty ratio provide you with ample opportunity to do research in our state-of-the-art biology lab. Gain diverse lab experience by studying abroad.
