Accounts
A number of accounts are available to members of the college community, based on their role at the college.
Google Workspace
St. Norbert College uses Google Workspace to manage functions like Gmail, Calendar, and Drive. As an education customer, we have an apportioned space for storage of emails, attachments, files, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
Canvas
Canvas is our current Learning Management System (LMS). It is an online collaboration space for our classes. Faculty members create assignments and assessments, share documents with their students and have online discussions. Students can use Canvas to collaborate with other classmates, check grades and get access to materials and assignments.
Workday
Workday is SNC's solution to Human Capital Management (HCM), Budgeting (Adaptive Planning) and Finance. This means that Workday can provide access to functions like time sheets and pay checks.
KnightLine
KnightLine is our enterprise system that provides access to functions like course registration, financial aid and billing.
Website
Campus users are able to access certain restricted content areas on the St. Norbert College website. Access to these areas is gained via your six-letter login ID.
Printing
Printing functions are available to all students (including the Medical College of Wisconsin) via the print.snc.edu website. Login with your six-letter login ID. Most staff and faculty are also able to print via the traditional "File > Print" option.
Passwords
Users can set their initial password or change their current password for all of the above functions at any time from our Computer Account Management page.
Students
Student account data is maintained by the Registrar. All students are assigned a KnightLine account upon admission to SNC. Upon deposit, their St. Norbert College email account is activated, and they can start sending and receiving email using the new account. Upon graduation, all student accounts are converted to alumni accounts.
Changes to your name, nickname, or home address should be reported to the Registrar. Any change to your emergency contact information can be updated in KnightLine.
Alumni
As an alum of the college, your SNC Google account will remain active for 6 months following your graduation date. This includes email, calendar, drive, etc.
Students who have completed less than two semesters do not qualify for an alumni account, and therefore will lose access to all SNC accounts upon withdrawal.
Google has an article that explains how to migrate your data. If you do not migrate your data before the 6 month timeline, it will be deleted. See this Knowledge Base Article for other tips for graduating students.
Employees
Accounts are created for St. Norbert College faculty and staff upon entry of their employment data into our tracking system. Once the record is activated by Human Resources (HR), the email account is available for use within six hours. This typically happens on the employee's first day of work.
Changes to your name or nickname should be reported to HR. Any change to your home address or emergency contact information can be updated in KnightLine.
When an employee leaves the college, HR also handles the disabling of all accounts. We encourage employees who are leaving to make sure you export your Gmail contacts and export your Google calendar BEFORE your last work day. This will allow you to then import the data into the contacts or calendar of your personal account if you need that.
Retirees
Upon retirement, faculty and staff accounts automatically transition to retiree accounts. Retirees may keep their account for as long as they like, but they must remain active. Once a retiree account is inactive (no password change) for six months, it is disabled. Retirees who have non-technical questions about the status of their account may contact the office of Human Resources.
